Bob played a fundamental role in the creation of Engagesport together with Liz Williams. A former and noted rugby internationalist for both Wales and the British & Irish Lions, Bob also led the Cardiff Blues as CEO for more than a decade. During his time at the helm of the Blues, Bob was also a founding board director of the inaugural Celtic League and was an elected representative of the Welsh Regions at the board table of the European Rugby Cup on both rugby and commercial matters. He has been inducted into the Hall of Fame at both the Arms Park and the Welsh Rugby Union.
Bob leads the athlete management division at Engagesport, as well as, contributing and advising on all key relationships within the wider business. His integrity, networks and knowledge across the game are widely recognised and respected and there’s hardly a character or situation within the world of rugby not known to him.
Bob has been Honorary Regional Chairman of the Wooden Spoon Society in Wales for more than twenty years. He has also successfully climbed the world’s highest free-standing mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro and also even higher peaks in the Andes together with other former national team captains to help raise funds for cancer care in Wales.

Liz Williams

As a co-founder and director, Liz has played a pivotal role in the creation of Engagesport. Liz has 15 years’ experience working in professional sport and the sports marketing industry, starting her professional career at Cardiff Blues, whilst studying for her MBA. Specialising in strategy, planning and acquisitions across all functions, Liz is the strategic lead at Engagesport and oversees all areas of the business, making decisions on its direction and how the business is going to get there.
Always focusing on the detail, Liz strives in developing successful partnerships and making sure every client feels valued.

Joshua Channing
Partnerships Manager

Josh has been part of the Engagesport team since 2013, joining the company following completion of his MSc in Business Management.
A registered RFU agent, Josh works with our athletes to ensure all aspects of their careers are taken care of, both on and off the field. Having worked for Engagesport for almost 6 years, Josh also works alongside our commercial team and has developed key relationships with our commercial clients and partners. He plays an integral role in maintaining associations with many businesses and has worked on many of our key projects, that include the Cardiff Half Marathon, Volvo Ocean Race and Football Association of Wales.
With a passion for everything sport, away from the office you will often find Josh either on the golf course, rugby pitch or supporting Manchester United, who he has been fan of from an early age.

Matthew Rees
Player Manager
Former Cardiff Blues, Scarlets & Wales captain and former British & Irish test hooker, Matthew Rees, joined Engagesport as a Player Manager in June 2019, following his recent retirement from the game.
Matthew’s playing career span over two decades, with 329 club and regional appearances under his name. He is now set to mentor the next generation of professional rugby players at Engagesport.

Emily Rees
Marketing & Events Executive
Emily heads up Marketing and Events at Engagesport. Since graduating in 2018 with a Masters degree in MSc Management, Emily has worked in the Education, Events and Technology industries in various marketing, events and client management roles before joining Engagesport in February 2020.
Throughout 2020, Emily has adapted the role and continued to manage client accounts and produce digital content across all social media channels during the covid-19 lockdown, including carrying out interviews with our Athlete Management Clients.
Outside of the office, you’ll find Emily trials biking, working on DIY projects, or spending time outdoors.
