What we did

Engage managed the event from concept through to delivery, ensuring a seamless awards ceremony and a memorable evening of celebration and recognition for the Welsh sport & leisure sector. This included producing all event branding and content, both print & digital, managing bookings and logistics, and a comprehensive on-the-day event management service.

The event

The evening was hosted by Lauren Salter and attended by special guests, including Paralympian Pippa Britton OBE, who is the Chair of Public Health Wales, and the newly appointed Cabinet Minister for Culture and Sport, Heledd Fychan MS.

The awards comprised nine categories designed to highlight the incredible achievements of WSA member organisations across various sports, initiatives, and projects. Each award was introduced by Lauren, followed by a short video showcasing the nominees’ impactful work, before the winner was announced and celebrated.

Andrew Howard, CEO of the Welsh Sports Association, ended the formalities with an inspiring closing address, before welcoming Sophie Jenkins and Niall Allen to the stage for a musical performance that had the room singing and guests celebrating late into the night.
