Best of Wales Gala Night 2025
Honouring Excellence in Welsh Sport and Leisure – A Celebration at Wales Week London
Wales Week London (WWL) has grown remarkably over the past nine years, evolving from 54 events in 2017 to 130 last year, firmly establishing itself as the largest annual programme celebrating and promoting Wales. With over 75,000 attendees across 780+ events and an impressive reach of 11.9 million, WWL continues to honour our national day, showcase our culture and heritage, and promote a modern Wales to the world.
Following the incredible success of last year’s event, we were delighted to have once again planned this spectacular Gala Night – bringing together Welsh organisations, WWL partners, and stakeholders for an evening of celebration. With outstanding performances and appearances from renowned Welsh artists, the night was a true showcase of Welsh excellence.
What we did
We produced this event from concept to execution, crafting a comprehensive fundraising model, designing the event brand, handling all aspects of production, and sourcing a star-studded line-up of Welsh artists and performers to meet the event brief. Every detail was meticulously managed to deliver an unforgettable experience that exceeded expectations.
The event
The evening began with a breathtaking performance by musical theatre super-group, Welsh of the West End, whose show-stopping renditions of theatre classics have captivated audiences worldwide. Host Lauren Jenkins, one of Wales’ most sought-after bilingual sports presenters, led an insightful Q&A with a panel of Welsh sporting legends including former Wales international footballers, Joe Ledley and Helen Ward, and Paralympic shot put champion, Sabrina Fortune MBE. Bringing the laughter was award-winning Welsh comedian, Robin Morgan, followed by an electrifying DJ set from Katie Owen that ensured celebrations continued well into the night. The Gala also continued its proud tradition of supporting Welsh charities, raising important funds for St David’s Hospice and The Green Man Trust.
