Fresh off a sensational debut season with Gloucester Rugby, Tomos has been crowned Gallagher Premiership Player of the Season, a fitting reward for a player whose dynamic talent and leadership lit up the league. From his first game at Kingsholm, it was clear: Tomos didn’t just come to play – he came to transform.
A Statement Season in Cherry & White
After a long and successful stint with Cardiff, Tomos made the bold move to Gloucester in 2024. It proved to be an inspired decision. Slotting seamlessly into the Cherry & Whites’ revamped, high-tempo game plan, Tomos brought not just his trademark flair, but also a control and creativity that became the heartbeat of the team.
He formed a thrilling half-back partnership with fellow international Gareth Anscombe, guiding Gloucester to a fifth-place finish and within touching distance of the play-offs. Only Bath and Bristol outscored them over the season – a testament to the impact Tomos had in unlocking attacking potential.
His now-iconic no-look assist against Bristol, drawing on his early basketball instincts, was one of the standout moments of the year – and a viral sensation. It was vintage Tomos: audacious, instinctive, and perfectly executed.

Tomos’ performances didn’t just turn heads – they earned universal respect. The Premiership Player of the Season award, voted by his peers, says it all.
